As an organization, Alpha Phi Theta Eta Chapter has three wonderful philanthropies: Red Dress Gala, Heart Health Week, and Mr. Greek. Along with those events, Theta Eta Chapter raises awareness on campus and throughout the community year-round.
Since 1946, Alpha Phi has focused on women's heart disease and cardiac care as a philanthropic priority. Today, research into the diagnosis and treatment of women's heart disease is still the primary interest of the Alpha Phi Foundation.

Alpha Phi was the first sorority to form its own Foundation. Over the years this foundation has helped countless people. Each year the Theta Eta chapter does it's best to continue to contribute to the growth of the organization through service.

As a preeminent philanthropic organization, Alpha Phi Foundation is recognized for the strength of our endowment and for innovation in cultivating and sustaining donor participation. Demonstrating the philanthropic spirit of love and charity intended by our Founders, the Foundation was created as a trust to award grants specifically for scholarship and cardiac aid. Today, the original priorities of Alpha Phi Foundation remain. Through the annual Heart to Heart Grant, Alpha Phi Foundation helps fund research and educational programs that support the improvement of women’s heart health. The Heart to Heart Grant awards $100,000 annually to medical professionals to better understand heart disease in women, specifically its symptoms, treatment, and prevention. In past years, we have raised $5,000 for the Alpha Phi Foundation and the Canadian SADS Foundation. The support our community has shown us is heart warming as we continue to advocate for heart health!

Each year, we host a Red Dress Gala featuring a silent auction, formal sit-down dinner, and guest speakers. Parents, alumnae, and friends all attend the event (rocking their brightest red) to raise money for women's heart health. Alpha Phi thanks you for your support!

We hold a Heart Health Week every year to bring awareness on how to live a heart healthy life. This past year we had a dark chocolate sale, and a power walk through campus.

Our chapter's fundraising initiatives support the Alpha Phi Foundation, which advocates for women's heart health and advancing women in leadership roles. We are also active volunteers in the London Community, partnering with the Ronald McDonald House, the Boys & Girls Club, and the Women's Community House.

A member of each of the fraternities on campus volunteers to compete in a themed competition to earn the title of "Mr. Greek". We have an absolute blast hosting this event and the best part is, all the proceeds go to an amazing cause!

The community really comes together to show support for one another's philanthropic events. It is one of the many ways that Greek life has such a great impact on our sister's university experience.
